The Aussie market is slightly stronger so far today although traders are seemingly trading cautiously ahead of this afternoon’s RBA announcement.
The XJO is presently 20 points (+0.4%) stronger, at 4290.
Most sectors are in the green, with energy, materials and financials the best performers.
Conversely, healthcare, utilities and telcos are the weakest links.
In company news, Cochlear has plummeted 4.4% after announcing a full year net profit of $56.8 million, a 68% fall on the previous corresponding period.
Elsewhere, Bradken has jumped 8.7% after it posted a full year profit of $100.5 million, a 48.8% climb from the prior year.
Around the region, Asian markets are mainly stronger; the Hang Seng is up 0.3% whilst the Nikkei is 0.6% firmer.
