HOW THE CFD REPORT WORKS AND WHAT TO EXPECT

AUSTRALIAN EQUITIES

This section contains extensive coverage of the Australian share market.

You will find daily share trading suggestions for Australian shares with special focus on those shares which are showing the best price momentum. For each trading suggestion, we tell you where it would be a good place to set your entry order, stop order, and profit target order.

Each trading suggestion contains fundamental and technical analysis on why we have chosen to implement a trade. In this way, each is almost a 'mini-lesson' on how professional traders select real trading opportunities.

Also in this section is our popular Share Price Index (SPI) report. We find that many traders 'progress' to trading the SPI from trading normal shares. The SPI section is updated three times a day and will help keep you on the right side of the Australian share market. The trading levels in the SPI detail where the best level is to enter the market, set stops, and to exit at profits.

The SPI section will tell you how the Australian share market really works.

Here's a sample of a past CFD Report with active links to actual trading suggestions made by ASR in the recent past to give you a better idea of how this process works:

OVERSEAS EQUITIES

Australian shares represent roughly 2% of all global equities. For this reason, if you are only looking at Australian shares, you are only looking at a drop in the ocean of potential trading opportunities available to the savvy CFD trader.

With the advent of CFD platforms, it is now just as easy for Australian traders to buy and sell Vodafone (UK), or Microsoft (USA) as it is to buy and sell Telstra and Computershare. Certainly, the value of this ability to diversify across markets, not just sectors, is a most attractive one for professional traders. Now all traders can have this ability.

In the Overseas Equities section, we cover the key global markets such as the USA, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Japan. Again, if we see a trading opportunity, we will show you the best place to set your entry orders, stops, and profit target orders. All you have to do if you agree with our analysis is set up the orders on your CFD platform.

CURRENCIES

The biggest financial markets in the world are the currency or foreign exchange (FX) markets. Imagine what happens in the FX markets when Qantas purchases a fleet of new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. It will need to convert literally billions of Australian Dollars into US Dollars to pay Boeing for the purchase. It is because of their sheer size that FX markets are the preferred trading arenas of the world's biggest professional traders.

We keep you up to date on everything you need to know to successfully trade these markets. Generally, it's not very long before our members are expanding their horizons and trading FX as well as their Australian Shares.

COMMODITIES

Have you ever purchased an oil stock on the Australian share market because you thought oil was going up? Or a gold stock because you thought gold was about to rise? Well, if you have, you've already been in a position where you've taken a view on a commodity. CFDs now make it easier than ever before to trade the actual commodities of gold and oil themselves.

Think about it. You purchase that oil stock, and whilst oil shoots up $20 a barrel, your oil stock has failed to rise because of disappointing drilling results. Why take the extra risks involved with holding shares such as poor results, equipment failures, or a general downturn in the market, when you can simply purchase the commodity itself? At least in this way you would ensure you profited from your good analysis.

Gold and oil aren't the only commodities we like to follow. We also look at agricultural commodities such as coffee, cocoa, and cattle. Think about the concept of 1.3 billion Chinese people going from eating rice, to eating McDonald's hamburgers and drinking Starbucks coffee. Very quickly, you should be able to see that the next big opportunity is not so much in metals such as copper and nickel, but in the agricultural commodities.

Let us take all of the mystery out of participating in these markets with our daily updates and trading suggestions. Again, we can't make it any simpler than showing you the best place to set your entry orders, your stop orders, and your take profit orders.

STRATEGY CENTRE

"Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day; teach him how to fish, he'll eat forever".

This section endeavours to teach you the combined investing and trading knowledge of the entire ASR Team! With over 70 years of market experience between them, there isn't much the Team wouldn't know about the share market and investing and trading.

Weekly Strategy Centre articles go past the standard analysis that you could simply get out of a book, and teach you real trading strategies which are being used successfully by real traders. Each article is then uploaded to a searchable archive which you can refer to any time you want to do some extra study.

Here's a sample of a Learning Centre article, and the number of lessons currently available in each category:

Disclaimer

Important Information:

The Portfolio's performance refers to the potential performance which could reasonably be achieved by members who bought and sold CFDs with the leading CFD providers as suggested in our CFD Report. All returns shown in the table above are leveraged returns based upon the margin specifications of IG Markets Australia.

Transactions suggested in reports were not actually executed by Australian Stock Report, but the entry and exit points flagged in our Report were however able to be achieved in the market under actual market conditions and prevailing liquidity.

The Australian Securities and Investments and Commission (ASIC) discourage the use of annualised performance data. For this reason, Australian Stock Report does not annualise any performance data. Performance displayed in the Average Monthly Return and Average Annual Return relate to completed performance periods of 1 Nov - 31 Oct each year only.

Fees and charges:

Due to the significant diversity in the fees charged by Stockbrokers, this data does not include any execution or settlement costs such as brokerage or financing fees. In other words, the data reports performance which doesn't take into account transaction costs. You should check with your Stockbroker or CFD Provider what fees might be incurred in executing the trades suggested by our Reports.

Future Performance:

Note that past performance of trades suggested by Australian Stock Report is not necessarily a reliable indication of future performance. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they assume a certain level of transaction fees that may or may not be available to a particular investor. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results, and all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
